This project includes 12 small buildings with a total area of 2,350 m². The buildings consist of four types: Töötajate hoone, Eri- ja üldhooldekodu, and Vabaajahoone.
Main Part Design OÜ Responsibilities
Development of the structural BIM model of the timber load-bearing structures
Structural calculations, including overall building stiffness and connection analysis
Preparation of general arrangement drawings
Structural Overview
Load-bearing exterior and interior timber-frame walls
Roof structure: gang-nailed plate rafters
The “Vabaajahoone” building's stiffness is ensured by glulam frames and partially engaged wall diaphragms in the transverse direction. In the longitudinal direction, the stiffness is provided by the combined action of the roof panels, floor panels, and wall diaphragms.
The stiffness of the other buildings is ensured by the combined action of the roof diaphragm and the walls, which function as internal and shear wall diaphragms.
Glulam stiffening frames were connected using concealed steel plates, fastened with dowels and bolts.
Wall diaphragms are anchored using the Rothoblaas system hold-downs and chemical anchors.
